Privacy Policy
minimal by design
How MoR Finder collects, uses and protects personal data, and the rights you have under the GDPR and similar laws.
Last updated: June 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MoR Finder (“MoR Finder”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit www.merchantofrecordfinder.com. We built MoR Finder as an independent, static comparison directory, so we intentionally collect as little personal data as possible.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for the processing described here is PILEANOVA, the operator of MoR Finder named above. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, this Policy is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent local laws.
2. What data we collect
We collect personal data in only a few, limited situations:
- Usage analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregated, anonymous usage such as page views, referrers, country, device type and browser. This tool is privacy-friendly: it does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.
- Technical/server data. Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information (such as your IP address and browser user-agent) to deliver the site securely and protect against abuse. This is necessary for the website to function.
- Information you send us. If you email us — for example to request a provider profile correction, suggest a provider or ask a question — we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Consent record. We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so we do not have to ask again on every visit.
We do not run user accounts, we do not process payments on this site, and we do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data.
3. Why we use your data and our legal bases
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Operate and secure the website | Technical/server data | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Measure and improve the site | Usage analytics | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Reply to your messages | Email and message content | Legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(f)/(b)) |
| Remember your cookie choice | Consent record | Legitimate interests / legal obligation |
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use only strictly necessary storage by default. Non-essential analytics are loaded only after you opt in through our consent banner. You can review or change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We rely on a small number of service providers (processors) who act on our behalf:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and, with your consent, Web Analytics.
- Google Fonts — web fonts are served from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address as a technical necessity to deliver the fonts.
We may also disclose data if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the EEA (for example, in the United States). Where personal data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy framework.
7. How long we keep data
- Aggregated analytics are retained for as long as needed to understand trends, then anonymised or deleted.
- Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable record-keeping.
- Your cookie consent record stays in your browser until it expires or you clear it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise any right, email contact@morfinder.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children
MoR Finder is a business tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the site evolves (for example, if we add lead capture or a newsletter). When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, ask for renewed consent.
11. Contact
